Kisame x Reader

             You didn't dare move, hugging your knees. Tobi shifts beside you, also hugging his knees.  Zetsu sat on your other side. Every now and again you could hear Pein call your names angrily. The cabinet door opens suddenly, making you three tense. "Pass me a cup, ___," Itachi says, barely batting an eye at the oddity of you hiding in the cabinet. You hand him a cup as Kisame peers in. "What did you do this time?" He chuckles, flashing a shark tooth grin. "Tobi," You prompt, shooting the masked boy a glare. "I made her mad and we accidentally made Sasori's workshop blow up," Tobi says, rubbing the back of his head.
                "Hm... Itachi, let's bring ___ with us," Kisame muses to the red eyed man. Itachi looks at him for a moment. "I'll tell Pein you're in the east wing," He tells you before strolling out. Kisame gives you another smile, "That's a yes," He says, holding a hand up to you. "Good luck Zetsu," You tell the two toned man before hopping out of the cabinet and crashing into Kisame's broad chest. "Thanks Kisame-senpai," You add, giving him a quick hug. He chuckles, "No problem," He says.

                   You crouch on the rock looking at the water as it rushed by. You were bored, waiting for Itachi and Kisame to return. You pout at the water when you suddenly see Kisame's face, smirking up at you. You pause, not sure if you were seeing things and reach into the water to touch his nose. "That was not the response I was expecting," He comments, coming out of the water. You lightly push his nose, "What? Were you trying to scare me?" You huff, smirking and standing up. "Cause you're not at all scary Kisame-senpai," You add, swiftly transferring to your normal bubbly self.
                   "That's a cheeky statement ___," He chuckles, pinching your cheek. "I don't think so... Where's Itachi-senpai?" You ask curiously. He pauses, a faint frown crossing over his lips. "He'll join up later, don't worry you won't be stuck alone with me for long," He assures turning away and putting more fire wood into the fire. You frown at his back, he got like that sometimes, he had low self-esteem. You immediately felt a wave of guilt. "Oh, that's too bad, Kisame-senpai is more fun when Itachi-senpai isn't around," You say, looking at the lake.
                     You weren't lying, recalling the time Kisame had helped you blow up Deidara's room and pin blame on Tobi. You walk over to the water's edge again, frowning at the waves.
              "Kisame-senpai,"
              "Yeah?"
              "I'm bored again, let's do something fun,"
              "Like what?" He asks curiously. You think for a moment before poking him in the stomach and darting onto the water. "Tag! You're it senpai!" You giggle, stopping and turning to him briefly with grin. He hesitates, "Come on! Itachi isn't here so come play with me!" You tell him cheerfully. A smirk comes to his lips then, "Alright then, get ready!" He chuckles, lunging at you. You let out a squeal and leap out of the way. He turns suddenly and reaches for you and you leap into the air away from him.
                 Like Tobi, speed was one of your strong points. "You're going to have to be faster than that senpai!" You tease. He lets out another chuckle and rushes at you again. You toss some shuriken at him and hop back, when suddenly, something comes out of the water behind you. You look back with a surprised squeak as he grabs you. "I win," He says with a smile. You pout, "That's dirty Kisame-senpai," You scoff. "You threw shuriken at me," He shoots back. "Oh yeah..." You huff, starting for the shore again.
                  Itachi appears as you reach the camp fire. "We'll head for the village of sound in the morning," He tells you and Kisame. "Oki doki," You say, plopping down next to the fire. "I'll get some fish for us to eat," Kisame says, starting for the water. "Then I'll get more fire wood!" You chime, getting to your feet and heading for the tree line.
                  After a while, you became aware that you weren't alone. "Who's there?" You ask, shifting the fire wood to one arm and drawing a kunei. A familiar mask peered at you from behind a tree. "Tobi? What are you doing here?" You huff in surprise as he rushes over and gives you a hug. "Tobi missed you ___-chan! So Tobi followed!" He says cheerfully. "Alright then, but Itachi-senpai won't be to happy with this," You warn him, starting for the lake. "Tobi will be a good boy! Tobi promises!" He says, cheerfully following after you. You reach the campsite as Kisame comes out of the lake with a bunch of fish.
                    "Tobi?" Itachi huffs. "He followed us," You inform them. "Why?" Kisame asks. "Tobi missed ___-Chan," Tobi says as you place more wood into the fire. "There's no helping it then," Itachi says after a bit. "Yay! Tobi can stay!" Tobi cheers and you go over to help Kisame skewer the fish. Tobi sat down next to you, humming cheerfully. "He sure does like you," Kisame comments. "I don't really get it..." You murmur, putting the fish near the fire. "Besides, he probably only came to get away from Pein," You add.
                    That night you woke from a bad dream. You sat up, rubbing your neck. "Bad dream?" Kisame guesses from where he leaned against a boulder. I jump slightly and look over at him, meeting his strange gaze. "Yeah, something like that," You admit, standing up. "I'll take over as guard, so you try to sleep some," You add, going over and sitting on the boulder. "You sure?" He asks, looking up at you. "Yeah, I don't think I'll be able to fall back asleep anyways," You reply, putting a hand on top of his head. You pause, starting to move your hand through his hair, which was surprisingly soft. "What are you doing?" He mutters.
                      "Sorry, your hair is really soft..." You say, retreating your hand. He shakes his head. "You're so strange," He chuckles. You sit in silence, smiling to yourself and looking out at the lake. Kisame stands after a bit, his shadow eclipses you from the moon. You look up at him curiously, he flashes a grin. "It looks better from under the water," He tells you. "Hm?" You hum, tilting your head to the side. "The moon," He says, looking up at the silver orb. You blink at him then at the lake. "I'm not that good at holding my breath, but you have me curious now," You say, standing up and taking off your Akatsuki cloak.
                       "Don't worry, I won't let you drown," He says, flashing another smile. You smirk and nudge him. "Lead the way senpai," You tell him. He shrugs off his cloak and heads for the water. You follow him, hesitating at the water. "Not scared of the water are ya?" He says, stopping waist deep in the water. He looks back at you, raising an eyebrow. You look back at the other two Akatsuki quickly to make sure they were asleep. "Kinda," You murmur, glancing back at him. He blinks and smiles a bit. "Come on, shinobi shouldn't be afraid of things like this," He says.
                         A smile comes to your lips, "Right," you giggle, going over to join him. You stiffen as the cold water touches your stomach. You nod to Kisame and he prepares to dive into the water. You grab his arm, making him tense. "Hm?" He asks, glancing back in surprise. "Oh, sorry, I don't know why I did that..." You say, letting go of his arm. He pauses and dives into the water. You hesitate again and dive in as well. "Over here," Kisame says, drawing your gaze. He stopped in the center of the lake, the moon rays made the waves dance over his skin.
                         'He looks cool in this light,' You think, swimming over to his side. You look up at the moon. 'Whoa,' You think in amazement. Kisame chuckles, drawing your gaze. "Better right?" He asks, giving you a smirk. You nod with a smile, which swiftly vanished when you realize you were out of air. You start to swim up frantically. An arm warps around you, making you freeze and look over to see Kisame. "I got you," He assures, pulling you up swiftly. You cough for air as your head breaks water. "You okay?" He asks.
                          "Yes, thank you senpai," You cough, giving him a smile. "You lasted longer than I thought," He comments. "Hehe, sorry I tried," You tell him, rubbing your neck. You rest your arms, hand brushing over his since he still had his arm around your waist. You both tense, "We should head back," He tells you, releasing you.  "Right," You agree swimming after him. You felt weird as you left the water, you could still feel the warmth of his arm around you. He hands you your cloak which you take gratefully.
